We are looking for a skilled Bankruptcy Attorney to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Wilmington, Delaware. This role involves providing specialized legal support in complex bankruptcy litigation matters, requiring strong research and writing abilities. The position offers an excellent opportunity for experienced attorneys to contribute to challenging cases while collaborating with knowledgeable professionals.

Job Responsibility

  • Conduct in-depth legal research on complex bankruptcy issues to support litigation efforts
  • Draft motions, briefs, and other legal documents with precision and attention to detail
  • Collaborate closely with partners to develop strategies for bankruptcy filings and Chapter 11 cases
  • Review discovery materials and provide comprehensive analysis to support case development
  • Provide expert guidance on civil litigation matters related to bankruptcy proceedings
  • Analyze and interpret bankruptcy laws to ensure compliance during legal proceedings
  • Assist in the preparation for hearings and trials by organizing relevant case materials
  • Maintain effective communication with clients and other legal professionals to ensure seamless case management
  • Stay updated on changes in bankruptcy laws and regulations to provide informed counsel
  • Manage multiple assignments efficiently while adhering to deadlines

Requirements

  • Must hold a valid license to practice law in the United States
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in bankruptcy and/or litigation
  • Strong expertise in legal research and writing, particularly in complex cases
  • Proficiency in drafting motions, briefs, and other legal documentation
  • Familiarity with bankruptcy filings, including Chapter 11 proceedings
  • Solid understanding of civil litigation processes and procedures
  • Ability to work on-site in Wilmington, Delaware from 9 AM to 5 PM
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills to manage legal tasks effectively
