Job Description:

Banking Operations is a strategic Avaloq service line providing Banking Operations outsourcing services to banks. We are organized as a global Business Area, running state-of-the art Back office services with industry leading automation, quality, and risk standards. Our highly skilled and experienced staff are covering the full suite of services including Securities Operations, Cash Operations, and Asset Servicing, to name a few. As a banking expert you will be part of Avaloq’s global Banking Operations division (BO). With our services we are the back office for more than 30 banks globally and ensure their processes run smoothly, compliantly, and efficiently. You will join the Client Onboarding & Offering Team under the division responsible for Sales, Projects, Consultancy, and Test Management. As a Banking Operations Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless support to prospects and new clients on their journey to become an Avaloq Banking Operations customer. Your expertise will be instrumental in supporting prospective clients, onboarding new Banking Operations clients, and providing valuable consultancy to existing Avaloq clients.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prospect client support: Provide in-depth insights and guidance to prospective clients regarding Banking Operations services, processes, and over-arching market considerations. Understand client needs and tailor offers based on their specific requirements
  • Onboarding new clients: Collaborate with clients during the pre-project phase to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Creation of Banking Operations implementation plans and timelines
  • Project execution & post go-live: Lead the onboarding process, ensuring successful implementation with a smooth transition into the run operations. You are responsible for the deliverables which include the like of workshops on process business cuts, golden copy set up, user acceptance test coordination, go-live coordination, and post implementation governance
  • Consultancy: Leverage your deep understanding of Back-office services and the financial industry to provide consultancy to on-premises, software-as-a-service and banking operations-as-a-service Avaloq clients. Assist clients in resolving operational challenges and optimizing their front, middle or back office operations
  • Meet with assigned clients when needed and perform an initial assessment of a problematic situation requiring support
  • Drafting concise reports with recommendations and solutions with attention to a client’s wishes, capabilities and limitations
  • Strategic projects: Engage in strategic initiatives aimed at improving the efficiency, quality, or customer experience within banking operations
  • Managing relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Ensure meaningful project structure and governance, and the management of key stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Banking education, Bachelor's degree or equivalent with good knowledge of financial instruments and regulatory requirements
  • 7+ years’ work experience in the banking industry
  • Excellent knowledge of Banking Operations services (e.g. Securities Operations, Cash Operations, Asset Servicing or Masterdata Management)
