Job Description

Robert Half is seeking an experienced Banking & Finance Attorney to support a legal publishing and research initiative. This role is ideal for a recently practicing attorney with strong law firm training who enjoys research, writing, and practical legal analysis within the banking and finance space. In this role, you will leverage your substantive transactional experience to help develop and refine practical legal guidance, including "how-to" materials, form documents, and market trend analysis for banking and finance practitioners. Location: Remote. Employment Type: Contract. Duration: 6 months (with strong possibility for extension). Schedule: Part-Time, approximately 15–20 hours per week. Pay Rate: $40-$42/hour.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop, write, edit, and update practical guidance related to banking & finance law
  • Draft, review, and annotate form agreements, checklists, and related legal documents
  • Conduct in-depth legal research using case law, treatises, and other legal resources
  • Analyze legal and market trends impacting financial institutions and corporate borrowers
  • Apply substantive transactional experience to real-world legal guidance content

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Active bar membership in good standing (any U.S. jurisdiction)
  • 3–5 years of experience as a Banking & Finance Attorney, preferably with an AmLaw 100/200 firm
  • Significant experience representing: Agent banks, arrangers, and other financial institutions, Sponsors and corporate borrowers
  • Substantive experience drafting and negotiating: Credit agreements, Security documents, Guarantees, Intercreditor agreements, Related financing documentation
