Job Description

Community Integrated Care is one of the UK's largest health and social care charities. We work hard to enriching the lives of people with many different care needs. It's exciting and rewarding work, and we're full of pride and passion for what we do. Since the early days, we've grown to provide many innovative and bespoke care services to thousands of people across England and Scotland. We want to provide support based on the principles of choice, dignity and respect. This resonates in our vision of 'Your Life, Your Choice' and our strategy 'Best Lives Possible'. We have strong values and we're proud to pioneer new ways of delivering social care to stand out in our sector. In the past two years, we have won or made the shortlist for over 100 national and regional awards! We are also focused on our people. Our Support Workers are dedicated and passionate about going 'the extra mile' for the people we support and in return, we go the extra mile for them by investing in pay, recognition, wellbeing and continued professional and personal development. We will provide you with all the training, support and personal protective equipment you need in your role and will help you develop, should you decide you want to develop your career with us. There is 7 of us live together at Dean Lodge; our ages range from 24 to 68. We all have our own interests and we're all individuals! Some of us are independently mobile, and some of us need support with this using equipment. We need support to manage our health and wellbeing, as well as support to live as independently as possible whilst being supported to achieve our goals and aspirations! Our staff are trained in lots of areas to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to support us safely and effectively. Some of these trainings are Moving and Positioning, Administration of Medication, Emergency First Aid and Positive Behaviour Support. Family is also very important to us, and it is important that our staff include our family in all aspects of our lives. We are loving, kind and funny! We enjoy a happy, positive atmosphere and get along well with considerate and respectful people. We would not enjoy being around people who are bossy, overpowering, or negative. There is always a minimum of 3 staff on day shift and two staff on nightshift at Dean Lodge. We like our staff to work 'early' shifts (7am-2pm), 'late' shifts (2pm-9pm) and 'waking' nightshifts (9pm-8am). We also like for our staff to work flexibly so that we can be supported to attend a variety of activities such as going to the pub or going to the theatre. We need our staff to support us to achieve our best lives possible. We need our staff to be positive, encouraging, with a 'can do' attitude.
