Job Description:

Make a difference by supporting people to live their life, their way. Join a team at a day opportunities centre in Leeds providing fun community-based activities for people with learning disabilities. The role involves supporting 45 people per week with various activities and day trips.

Job Responsibility:

Support people to live their life their way
Understand what a great day means to the person supported
Adjust approach to meet people’s needs
Build supportive environments for people to thrive
Help with community-based activities (cookery, pilates, ping pong, zumba, gym, dancing, swimming, football)
Assist with day trips and drives in the local area
Embody core values of working together, giving best, and having courage

Requirements:

Full UK driving licence
Must complete an enhanced DBS check
Ability to support people with learning disabilities
Open to new ideas and approaches
Creativity and flexibility
Dedication to making a difference
Strong communication and trust-building skills
Ability to work as part of a team
Respect for individual strengths and differences

Nice to have:

Natural sense of wanting to make someone’s day brighter
Understanding that progress happens step by step
Enthusiasm for celebrating others' successes
