As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in helping our residents achieve their goals and improve their quality of life. You will provide emotional and practical support in day-to-day activities, helping individuals develop their independence, build life skills, and work towards recovery. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, working alongside mental health professionals to ensure the wellbeing of each individual.
Job Responsibility:
Offer day-to-day support to residents with mental health conditions in a residential setting
Assist with personal care, medication management, and promoting healthy lifestyles
Support residents in developing their independence, social skills, and confidence
Provide one-to-one and group activities that promote mental and emotional wellbeing
Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to develop and implement person-centred care plans
Record and monitor residents' progress, reporting any concerns to senior staff
Encourage residents to engage in community activities and support them in accessing local services
Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar role, working with individuals with mental health conditions (desired but not essential)
A compassionate, patient, and non-judgmental approach
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
A commitment to promoting dignity, respect, and independence for residents
