Job Description:

Bank support worker for a care package supporting a male adult with cerebral palsy and learning difficulties living in the Grimsby and Cleethorpes area.

Job Responsibility:

Assisting with all aspects of personal care and night routine
Assisting with domestic duties and day to day living tasks
Helping client to fulfil meaningful activities in the community, days out, holidays and weekly hydrotherapy
Providing 2-1 care as part of a 24-hour care package
Carrying out a rehabilitation programme as trained by treating therapists (Occupational Therapist, Neuro Physiotherapist, Speech and Language Therapist)

Requirements:

Passionate about support
Good understanding of working with learning disabilities
Experience with non-verbal clients
Belief in supporting people as they would want their closest loved ones cared for
Well organised
Flexible
Fun
Caring
Ability to provide high quality responsive care for someone with a learning disability
NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable
Willingness to undertake Care Certificate training if no NVQ
Subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Adult and Child Workforce barring
