Job Description

Working as part of a dedicated team, the post holder will support the efficient day-to-day operation of the DDC, contribute to fundraising and promotional activities, and assist in the development and motivation of staff and volunteers. The Sorting Assistant will maintain high standards of customer service and operational excellence while demonstrating Ashgate Hospice’s values of Compassion, Teamwork, Respect, Openness, and Inclusion in all aspects of their work.

  • Return the Care Home's washing to the linen cupboard, dining room and the kitchen
  • Perform minor repairs to the Service users’ clothing
  • Any clothes that are not marked should be named and place in the appropriate boxes after they have been laundered
  • Ensure the laundry room is clean and tidy. On a daily basis: wash down wasters, dryers and laundry bags
