NVQ3 or QCF3 qualification for higher bank worker rate
Ability to work rolling rota of two days on (16 hours per day 7.00-23.00) and four days off
Understanding of relevant legislation, regulation, and company Policies and Procedures
Ability to manage challenging, threatening and confrontational behaviour
Understanding of differing cultural, racial and religious needs of young people

Job Responsibility

Provide quality care for vulnerable young people with emotional & behavioural difficulties
Contribute to maintenance of positive, safe and homely environment
Work proactively within daily routine and agreed structures of the house (parenting responsibilities, domestic chores, cooking, shopping, appointments, activities, homework support)
Build positive working relationships with young people
Support young people with after school clubs, homework and leisure activities
Work in partnership with parents, social workers, agencies and other professionals
Undertake keyworker responsibility for individual young people
Follow legislation, regulation, company Policies and Procedures
Manage challenging behaviour using effective care practice
Work with team to understand cultural, racial and religious needs of young people
