Working as part of our talented and highly committed care teams, Registered Nurses are an integral part of our homes. You will work closely with the managers within the home to ensure the highest standard of person-centred resident care.
Job Responsibility:
Work closely with managers to ensure highest standard of person-centred resident care
Ensure staff contribute to efficient running of the home
General observations and support
Wound care
Lead and support team, completing regular supervisions to assess and identify training needs
Duties may include standing in for Deputy Home Manager and/or Home Manager in their absence
Report ill health amongst residents and request GP/Professional visits
Ensure residents Care Plans are completed and maintained with Clients, relatives and other Health Care Professionals
Assess all aspects of residents’ care needs and provide health supervision and direct Nursing care
Assess social and health care needs of new residents and maintain on-going assessment
Maintain accurate records and ensure each resident has an individualised Care Plan
Review Resident Care Plans monthly or more frequently
Carry out regular checks on Residents
Ensure clear and concise handover report is given at end of each shift
Administer/Order/Store prescribed medicines and document
Practice maximum integrity in dealings with resident’s personal and financial affairs
Establish and maintain good communication with residents, relatives and multidisciplinary team
Provide administrative support when required
Adhere to all appropriate NMC guidelines/regulations
Maintain all logbooks and records as required
Requirements:
Valid NMC License
Minimum of 1 year Nursing practice
Leadership ability and passion for hands-on care
Ability to mentor, coach and motivate a care team
Supportive and great at communicating
Able to adapt to different personalities
Able to build and maintain strong working relationships
Able to prioritise time efficiently
Able to work well within teams
Not afraid to get 'stuck in'
