Job Responsibility:
Work closely with managers to ensure highest standard of person-centred resident care
Ensure all Staff Members contribute to efficient running of the care home
General observations and support
Wound care
Lead and support your team, completing regular supervisions to assess and identify training needs
Duties may include standing in for Deputy Home Manager and/or Home Manager
Report ill health amongst residents and make requests for GP/Professional visits
Ensure residents Care Plans are completed and maintained
Assess all aspects of residents' care needs
Assess social and health care needs of new residents and maintain ongoing assessment of others
Maintain accurate records and ensure each resident has an individualised Care Plan
Carry out regular checks on Residents
Ensure clear and concise handover report at end of each shift
Administer/Order/Store prescribed medicines
Practice maximum integrity in dealings with resident's personal and financial affairs
Establish and maintain good communication with residents, relatives and multidisciplinary team
Provide administrative support
Adhere to all appropriate NMC guidelines
Maintain all logbooks and records
Requirements:
Hold a valid NMC License with a minimum of 1 year Nursing practice
Leadership/Passion: ability to lead a team with passion for hands on care, mentoring, coaching and motivating
People Management: supportive and great at communicating, adaptable to different personalities
Organisation/Process driven: ability to prioritise time efficiently to ensure all documentation is kept up to date
Natural team player: able to work well within individual teams
