Job Description:

Working as part of our talented and highly committed care teams, Registered Nurses are an integral part of our homes. You will work closely with the managers within the home to ensure the highest standard of person-centred resident care.

Job Responsibility:

  • Ensure all Staff Members contribute to efficient running of the care home
  • Create atmosphere conducive to residents' best interests
  • General observations and support
  • Wound care
  • Lead and support team
  • Complete regular supervisions to assess and identify training needs
  • Stand in for Deputy Home Manager and/or Home Manager in their absence
  • Report ill health amongst residents
  • Request GP/Professional visits where necessary
  • Ensure Care Plans are completed and maintained with Clients, relatives and Health Care Professionals
  • Assess all aspects of residents’ care needs
  • Provide health supervision and direct Nursing care when required
  • Assess social and health care needs of new residents
  • Maintain on-going assessment and review of all other residents
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Ensure each resident has individualised Care Plan
  • Review Resident Care Plans monthly or more frequently
  • Carry out regular checks on Residents
  • Ensure clear and concise handover report given at end of each shift
  • Administer/Order/Store prescribed medicines
  • Document medicines in accordance with procedure
  • Practice maximum integrity with residents' personal and financial affairs
  • Establish and maintain good communication with residents, relatives and multidisciplinary team
  • Provide administrative support when required
  • Adhere to NMC guidelines/regulations
  • Maintain all logbooks and records

Requirements:

  • Valid NMC License
  • Minimum of 1 year Nursing practice
  • Leadership ability

  • Mentoring, coaching and motivating skills
  • Ability to identify training needs

  • Able to adapt to different personalities

  • Maintain accurate records and ensure that each resident within the Care Home has an individualised Care Plan. Resident Care Plans to be reviewed on a monthly basis, or more frequently as and when required, in accordance with NMC guidelines & Company policy
