Job Description:

We are seeking dedicated Registered Nurses to join our Inpatient Unit (IPU) bank team, providing specialist palliative and end of life care. We offer a supportive and fulfilling environment where you'll have time to provide personalised, holistic care.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide expert palliative and end of life nursing care
  • Support patients and their families
  • Assess and implement individualised care plans
  • Ensure effective symptom management
  • Work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team
  • Act as a shift leader when required
  • Mentor and support junior staff
  • Involve in service improvements and quality initiatives

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (RGN) with valid NMC registration
  • Experience in delivering compassionate care within a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and teamwork skills
  • Genuine passion for palliative and end of life care
  • Ability to provide holistic support to patients and their families
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development

Nice to have:

  • Previous experience in palliative care, oncology, or a hospice setting
  • Post-registration qualification in palliative care or mentorship
  • Familiarity with electronic patient record systems, such as SystmOne
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to varying shift patterns
