Job Description:

Working as part of talented and highly committed care teams, Registered Nurses are an integral part of our homes, ensuring the highest standard of person-centred resident care in a residential nursing and dementia care setting.

Job Responsibility:

Work closely with managers to ensure highest standard of person-centred resident care
Ensure staff contribute to efficient running of the home and creation of a conducive atmosphere
General observations and support
Wound care
Lead and support team, completing regular supervisions to assess and identify training needs
May stand in for Deputy Home Manager and/or Home Manager in their absence
Report ill health amongst residents and request GP/Professional visits
Ensure Care Plans are completed and maintained with clients, relatives, and Health Care Professionals
Assess all aspects of residents’ care needs and provide health supervision and direct nursing care
Assess social and health care needs of new residents and maintain on-going assessment
Maintain accurate records and ensure individualised Care Plans are reviewed monthly
Carry out regular checks on residents at determined intervals
Provide clear handover report at end of each shift
Administer/order/store prescribed medicines in accordance with procedures
Practice maximum integrity with residents' personal and financial affairs
Establish and maintain good communication with residents, relatives, and multidisciplinary team
Adhere to NMC guidelines/regulations
Maintain all required logbooks and records

Requirements:

Valid NMC License
Minimum of 1 year Nursing practice
Leadership ability and passion for hands-on care
Mentoring, coaching, and motivating skills
Ability to identify training needs
Supportive and great communication skills
Ability to adapt to different personalities
Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
Ability to share and demonstrate knowledge
Organisational and process-driven
Ability to prioritise time efficiently
Natural team player
