Job Description:

Optegra has an exciting opportunity for a Bank Regional Ward Nurse to join our friendly and supportive. This is a zero hour contract offering flexible shifts and pays up to 27ph dependent on experience. This role will require you to travel across our 4 sites - Birmingham, Uttoexter, Leicester and Nottingham.

Job Responsibility:

  • Use clinical judgement and analytical skills to pro-actively identify potential problems during the patients’ clinical pathway that require Consultant / Surgeon input
  • Work with the multi-disciplinary team supporting them and delivering excellent care to patients during their clinical pathway
  • Provide pre- and post-operative instructions to patients/carers through effective communication as part of the clinical competency framework and holistic care of patients
  • Provide clinical advice for patients, within level of competency

Requirements:

  • Registered General Nurse
  • Current NMC registration
  • Minimum one year post qualification nursing experience
  • Previous experience in Ophthalmology, Theatre, General surgery or Outpatients
