Join Our Team as a Bank Nursery Practitioner! (Zero Hours - Flexible Contract) Are you passionate about creating brighter futures for children? At Northfield, we’re looking for a Bank Nursery Practitioner to join our team. Bring your enthusiasm, creativity, and dedication, and let’s make a difference together! Experience working in a childcare setting is required for this role. A Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification is desirable but not essential. Please note: we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role. Pay: £12.71 - £13.21 per hour *plus accrued holiday pay Working Hours: Zero hour contract - This gives you flexibility to work different shifts each week depending on the Nursery needs, between 8am-6pm - Monday to Friday. Location: 19 Woodland Road, Northfield, Birmingham, West Midlands, B31 2HU About our Nursery Our Northfield nursery is right in the heart of our community. Inside, the nursery has six rooms which are equally split into areas to accommodate babies, toddlers and pre-school. All the rooms have plenty of space to explore and investigate, as well as to promote children’s curiosity and their drive to learn new things. We are located in a quiet residential area of Northfield, just off the A38 and a short distance from Northfield Train Station, providing easy access for anyone commuting into Birmingham. Parking is available outside for convenience. What Your Role Involves As a valued member of our team, you’ll: - Create a warm, fun, and nurturing environment where children feel safe and thrive. - Plan and deliver engaging, play-based activities aligned with the EYFS framework. - Build meaningful relationships with children, families, and colleagues. - Monitor and celebrate children’s development milestones, keeping records to share with parents. - Support the day-to-day running of the nursery, maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and care.
