Job Description

Bank Duty Manager role at ICare Group's Extra Care Facility at Links View, providing supportive living arrangements where residents enjoy independence while receiving care. Play key role ensuring smooth operation of facility with both managerial oversight and direct care support in dynamic environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide personal care assistance including meal preparation, administering medication, mobility assistance, housekeeping, bathing, and dressing
  • Respond to emergency calls from residents and take appropriate action
  • Conduct security checks throughout shift
  • Carry out environmental checks ensuring appropriate lighting and other factors
  • Oversee day-to-day building and ground maintenance issues
  • Refer unresolved maintenance problems to Operations Manager
  • Act as care worker/duty manager providing on-call care while overseeing daily operations

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a care role preferred but not essential
  • Genuine passion for helping others required
  • Ability to provide personal care and support including meal preparation, medication administration, and assistance with mobility and personal hygiene
  • Capability to respond effectively to emergency calls and take appropriate action
  • High level of organisational skills with ability to manage building maintenance and security checks
  • Excellent communication skills with compassionate and empathetic nature
  • Willingness to work on flexible schedule including weekends and adapt to varying needs of residents
  • Valid driving license and access to own vehicle preferred but not essential
  • Strong commitment to upholding highest standards of care and operational excellence

  • Carry Out Environmental Checks: Regularly inspect the facility's environment, ensuring appropriate lighting and other environmental factors are maintained
  • Oversee Maintenance: Address day-to-day building and ground maintenance issues. Refer unresolved maintenance problems to the Operations Manager for further action
  • Act as a Care Worker/Duty Manager: In this dual role, you will provide on-call care within the facility during your shift while overseeing daily operations. No previous management experience is required, but a readiness to take on both care and managerial responsibilities is essential
