Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist to work on a locum basis in London. This role is based across acute wards, with some cross-cover to the stroke unit. You will be responsible for dysphagia assessment and rehabilitation, working with adult patients in a fast-paced acute setting. Experience in videofluoroscopy (VF) and/or tracheostomy management is highly desirable.

Requirements

  • HCPC registration
  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Previous NHS experience
  • Acute Speech and Language Therapy experience
  • Dysphagia competency (essential)
  • Experience within stroke services (desirable)
  • VF and/or tracheostomy competency (desirable)
  • Ability to manage a complex caseload independently
  • Strong MDT working and communication skills
