Are you a passionate and dedicated Children's Nurse looking to make a profound difference in your community? Our renowned Red Community Paediatric Nursing Team is seeking a dynamic Band 7 Nurse to provide expert, family-centred care. Job Responsibility:

  • Manage a defined, complex caseload autonomously
  • Undertake comprehensive nursing assessments
  • Deliver advanced clinical nursing procedures
  • Provide specialist nursing care for children with conditions such as oncology, long-term health conditions, and palliative care
  • Work to prevent hospital admission and support discharge
  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision
  • Deputise for the Clinical Nurse Lead
  • Contribute to service development
  • Manage and coordinate team workload
  • Establish effective communication with multi-agency partners
  • Empower and educate children and families
  • Maintain accurate patient records
  • Ensure a safe working environment

Requirements:

  • Qualified children's nurse RSCN or RNC
  • At least 3 years post qualification experience
  • Significant experience within field of Children's Nursing in the community setting
  • Extensive clinical skills such as assessment of sick child, medicine administration, wound care, IV therapy, central line experience, venepuncture, oncology, long term health conditions, palliative care experience
  • Line management experience
  • Service development experience
  • Must be able to drive and have access to a car
  • Current UK professional registration
  • Disclosure and Barring Service Check
