If so, Randstad wants to hear from you! We are seeking a dedicated Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist to join our team for this role based in Downpatrick.
Job Responsibility:
Manage the assessment, diagnosis, and clinical prioritisation of children with a broad range of needs, including ASD, complex disorders, and Developmental Language Disorder
Promote a strong inter-agency approach by working closely with education professionals, parents, and carers
Maintain responsibility for the administrative side of service delivery, including succinct clinical record-keeping and the maintenance of clinical spreadsheets
Plan, deliver, and evaluate training for parents, teachers, and classroom assistants to ensure communication-supportive environments that maximise learning opportunities
Participate in clinical audits, peer reviews, and Personal and Public Involvement (PPI) initiatives to assist in the evaluation and development of the service
Adhere to Trust policies, RCSLT professional standards, and Information Governance procedures at all times
Requirements:
Professional qualification in Speech and Language Therapy recognised by the RCSLT
Current licence to practise and active membership with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT)
A current full driving licence valid for use in the UK and access to a car on appointment
Candidates will be subject to enhanced vetting / compliance checks including an Enhanced Access NI check due to the nature of this work, this may include a Barred List check for both Children & Vulnerable Adults (depending on the role)
Knowledge of the Northern Ireland curriculum and an understanding of how communication difficulties impact a pupil's ability to access it
