Job Description:

The position of Vice President, Balance Sheet Reconciliation Sr. Manager, is responsible for reconciliation of Balance Sheet Accounts for a specific business segment. The role involves coordination with various teams, ensuring compliance with standards and policies, and managing risks and controls across financial processes. The candidate will also support audits and drive transformation initiatives while supervising and mentoring a high-performing team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Ensure Balance Sheet accounts for the respective segment have been reconciled in line with BSRS Policy and standard procedures
  • ensure reconciliation performed by reconcilers/reviewers meet exceptions reporting requirements
  • report P&L at risk in eRecon
  • monitor action plans to resolve exceptions
  • maintain documentation and support compliance with SOX and reconciliation standards
  • review and automate departmental processes for efficiency and accuracy
  • support implementation of strategic ledger strategies and execute UAT for reconciliation
  • coordinate with internal and external audits and regulatory interfaces
  • drive timely and accurate attestation of GL accounts
  • partner with Balance Sheet Governance and Account Owners to address reconciliation exceptions
  • enhance controls and manage risks.

Requirements:

  • Extensive years of proven experience related to accounting, financial reporting and/or product control
  • experience managing high performing and motivated teams
  • strong ability to analyze complex set of financial data and provide deeper insight on US GAAP/IFRS, preferably in banking/financial services environment
  • demonstrated career progression and a strong understanding and application of technical accounting principles and policies
  • ability to effectively communicate through all levels of the organization
  • ability to influence peers and business partners to take action necessary to achieve goals
  • extensive experience in working with a variety of financial platforms
  • proficiency with MS Project and MS Office Suite
  • financial management competencies
  • ability to manage in a complex and dynamic environment
  • leadership, team building, and mentoring skills
  • self-motivated with the ability to make decisions in the absence of detailed instructions
  • ability to drive implementations by motivating and directing multiple project teams
  • ability to foster and develop teams in distributed geographic environments
  • demonstrated ability to manage risks and enhance controls in complex financial accounting processes
  • ability to work across functional areas.
