Job Description:

This role entails managing balance sheet reconciliation processes, ensuring compliance with policies, addressing exceptions, and driving remediation efforts. It involves leading and developing a team, working on financial controls, supporting audits, overseeing reconciliation tools, and ensuring timely execution of responsibilities in a dynamic financial environment.

Job Responsibility:

Ensure balance sheet accounts are reconciled in line with policies
oversee reconciliation teams to address exceptions and maintain documentation
report P&L risks in eRecon
facilitate escalation of issues and coordinate resolution with stakeholders
support execution of UAT for reconciliation functions
coordinate internal/external audit processes
enhance financial controls and mitigate risks
lead team performance, hiring, and development
drive compliance with laws, rules, and regulations
maintain documentation and controls to ensure information integrity.

Requirements:

Proven experience related to accounting, financial reporting and/or product control
experience managing high performing and motivated teams
ability to analyze complex financial data and provide insight on US GAAP / IFRS in banking/financial services environment
effective communication skills across all organizational levels
ability to influence peers and business partners
experience with financial platforms, MS Project, and MS Office Suite
financial management competencies
ability to manage in a complex and dynamic environment
leadership and team building skills
ability to manage risks and enhance controls in financial processes
experience fostering and developing geographically dispersed teams.

Nice to have:

Knowledge of reconciliation processes
experience with SOX controls and regulatory compliance
ability to work across functional areas
prior exposure to audit engagements and managing remediation.
