Job Description:

The position is responsible for reconciliation of Balance Sheet Accounts for specific business segments, ensuring compliance with BSRS policy, driving control improvements, and supporting audits and regulatory requirements.

Job Responsibility:

Ensure Balance Sheet accounts assigned have been reconciled in line with BSRS Policy and standard/desktop documented procedure
ensure reconciliation performed meets compliance and documentation standards
obtain and report the P&L at risk in eRecon
drive implementation of strategic ledger by participating in UAT for reconciliation function
support escalation of material exceptions
partner with Controller Transformation group to improve efficiency
drive timely and accurate attestation of GL account keys
support coordination of audits and internal reviews
maintain appropriate documentation/controls for financial, regulatory, and management information
drive zero tolerance culture on control breaches
provide mentorship and develop team knowledge

Requirements:

Proven experience related to accounting, financial reporting and/or product control (0-2 years)
ability to analyze complex financial data and knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS, preferably in banking/financial services
proficiency with MS Project and MS Office Suite
financial management competencies
demonstrated ability to manage in a complex and dynamic environment
team building and mentoring skills are preferred
self-motivated with ability to make decisions in the absence of detailed instructions
ability to support implementations and work closely with project teams
ability to coordinate with team members in distributed geographic environments
ability to work across functional areas
Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
