The Balance Sheet Mgmt Lead Analyst is a strategic professional who will drive the evolution of our analytical capabilities at the intersection of technology, Finance, Treasury and AI. This individual stays abreast of developments in advanced analytics and data science and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application for balance sheet management. As a recognized technical authority for analytics product ownership, this role requires a strong commercial awareness and the ability to translate complex financial concepts into data-driven solutions. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required to guide, influence, and convince others, particularly colleagues in technology, advanced analytics, and senior management. This role has a significant impact on the area through the delivery of complex analytical infrastructure and provides advice and counsel related to the application of technology to the business. The work impacts the entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family of the Treasury and wider Finance.
Job Responsibility:
Lead the product ownership for the development of infrastructure related to advanced analytics, AI, and data science for balance sheet management
Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for analytics platforms, ensuring alignment with business goals
Collaborate with Finance, Treasury, technology, and advanced analytics teams to gather requirements, prioritize features, and manage the product backlog
Execute the development of data-driven tools and models that provide insights into liquidity, interest rate risk, capital planning, and overall balance sheet optimization
Act as the key liaison between business stakeholders and technical development teams, translating business needs into actionable product requirements
Perform other duties and functions as assigned
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets. This includes ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations related to data and model governance, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency
Requirements:
6-10 years of experience in a quantitative, data science, or technical product management role within the financial services industry
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics or Artificial Intelligence
Strong understanding of advanced analytics, AI, and data science concepts, with a proven ability to apply them to solve complex financial problems
Must have advanced analytical skills and the ability to see the big picture, connecting data-driven insights to strategic business objectives
Excellent communication skills are imperative, with the ability to make complex technical and financial subjects easily digestible for senior management and non-technical audiences
Experience in product ownership or management, with a track record of leading the development of data or technology infrastructure from a business perspective
Proven ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, agile environment, manage multiple stakeholders and ability to work independently
Proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau)
strong experience with data science programming languages (e.g., Python)
Ability to interact with all levels of management and be a collaborative team player
