We’re looking for reliable, skilled, and hard‑working people to join our busy Bakery Department. We have two full‑time opportunities available: Bakery Assistant Manager and Baker. These roles are key to delivering high‑quality products and ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations within the bakery.
Job Responsibility:
Bakery Assistant Manager: Assisting the Bakery Manager with daily department operations
Supporting, guiding, and developing the bakery team
Helping manage production planning, ordering, and stock levels
Ensuring food safety, compliance, and excellent product standards
Stepping into leadership responsibilities when required
Maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient work environment
Baker: Producing a range of bakery items to a high and consistent standard
Mixing, shaping, baking, and finishing products
Following food safety, hygiene, and production guidelines
Ensuring quality and presentation expectations are met
Contributing to an organised and efficient bakery operation
Requirements:
NZQA Bakery qualification or similar is required
Previous supermarket bakery experience is an advantage
For the Assistant Manager role: experience leading or supervising a bakery team is highly advantageous
A positive, reliable, and hands‑on attitude
Physically fit and comfortable with early starts
Able to work both independently and as part of a team
Availability for one weekend shift
