We are partnering with a well-established bakery in British Columbia looking for skilled Bakers to join their team. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of delicious products, including bread, pastries, cakes, and desserts. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all baked goods meet the highest standards of quality, taste, and appearance. The ideal candidate will have solid baking experience, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.

Job Responsibility:

Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the health and safety of the team and customers
Monitor inventory levels, and reorder supplies as needed to maintain production flow
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including proper cleaning of baking equipment and tools
Ensure all baked goods meet quality standards for both taste and appearance
Decorate cakes, pastries, and desserts with icings, glazes, and toppings to enhance their appearance
Shape dough to make bread, pastries, cakes, and other items
monitor oven temperatures and proofing times
Mix and knead dough by hand or using machines to prepare for proofing and baking
Measure and combine ingredients according to recipes and production schedules to create high-quality baked goods

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent
Proven experience as a baker or in a similar role in the food industry
Knowledge of baking techniques, ability to follow recipes precisely, and familiarity with baking equipment
Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and excellent time management skills
Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy bags of flour and ingredients
Ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
