Four Seasons Resort Mykonos is seeking a Baker to support daily bakery production, including vast selection on morning goods, breads and pastries. Skilled in preparing a variety of dough using different techniques. Maintains a clean and sanitary work environment in compliance with food safety standards. Job Responsibility:
Assists the Head Pastry Chef in ensuring the quality and consistency of the department
Regularly monitors the standards of all bakery goods to ensure they are always maintained
Complies with portion sizes, quality standards, and all departmental rules, policies, and procedures
Ensures all sanitation and nutrition practices are consistently followed
Prepares bread, breakfast items, cakes, fillings, toppings, frostings, and icings, and assembles them into finished products
Creates decorative display pieces for buffets and VIP presentations as needed
May assist in the preparation of special diets according to specific guidelines
Monitors and maintains cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas and reach-in coolers
Trains bakery and pastry staff in pastry production techniques and best practices
Requirements:
Culinary arts education, or equivalent experience
Minimum 3-5 years of previous culinary or related leadership experience, with strong fundamental culinary knowledge including Bakery, Patisserie, Varieties of breads
Strong knowledge of food safety, allergies, and sanitation standards with proven ability to maintain compliance at all times
Proficiency in kitchen equipment operation, ordering processes, and inventory
Keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to deliver results under pressure
Applicants are highly recommended to have previous experience in a luxury Resort setting or Fine dining Restaurants
