Baker – MV Isabelle – NOC 63202. This Baker is responsible for producing both scratch and prefabricated baked goods, desserts and pastries. Working under the guidance of the Chef, you will be expected to produce both high quality and high quantity products within the Bakery Department. This position requires the ability to follow directions, be diligent, focused and consistent. Comfort with kitchen and pastry equipment is required.
Job Responsibility:
Bakes and prepares a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes, such as cookies, tarts, squares, muffins, cupcakes and other pastry items
Produces featured desserts daily, hot or cold, as well as grab and go desserts such as parfaits, tiramisu, Jello, puddings, cakes and crumbles
Sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, etc.
Operates equipment such as ovens, stoves, mixers, etc.
Safely uses a variety of utensils including knives
Properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils
Maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
Enforces and upholds LandSea policies and procedures
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years' experience in a hotel or cruise ship
ability to work long shifts, weekends, holidays in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
good verbal and written communication skills (read, write, and speak English)
meticulous attention to detail and well-developed organizational skills
strong work ethic with ability to work independently and as a team player
completion of High School, GED, or related area
valid food safety certificate
provide at least 2 professional work references
provide photo identification (PDF of photo ID) to verify identity during virtual interview
