Job Responsibility

  • Collaborate with other associates to build a strong bakery team
  • communicate with team members and be flexible to work in other areas as needed
  • prepare bakery merchandise based on daily production needs by operating baking equipment and following recipes
  • wrap, label, and store merchandise according to policies and procedures
  • ensure compliance with food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management
  • operate, maintain, and sanitize bakery equipment
  • leverage handheld technology to drive sales, improve shopping experience, manage production and merchandise ordering
  • maintain work area cleanliness and operational excellence
  • ensure quality and date control standards for bakery items
  • assist members with purchasing decisions
  • execute high-quality service and demonstrate energy, commitment, and passion for the work

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • willingness to follow company policies and procedures
  • successful completion of job training and assessments
  • commitment to maintaining a drug-free workplace
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous experience in bakery or retail environment preferred
  • ability to operate bakery equipment and follow detailed recipes
  • strong customer service and communication skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • basic proficiency with handheld technology and digital tools
