Job Responsibility:
Collaborate with other associates to build a strong bakery team
communicate with team members and be flexible to work in other areas as needed
prepare bakery merchandise based on daily production needs by operating baking equipment and following recipes
wrap, label, and store merchandise according to policies and procedures
ensure compliance with food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management
operate, maintain, and sanitize bakery equipment
leverage handheld technology to drive sales, improve shopping experience, manage production and merchandise ordering
maintain work area cleanliness and operational excellence
ensure quality and date control standards for bakery items
assist members with purchasing decisions
execute high-quality service and demonstrate energy, commitment, and passion for the work
Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age or older
ability to stand for long periods
ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
willingness to follow company policies and procedures
successful completion of job training and assessments
commitment to maintaining a drug-free workplace
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
previous experience in bakery or retail environment preferred
ability to operate bakery equipment and follow detailed recipes
strong customer service and communication skills
ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
