Job Description:

You want to be part of the FUTURE of BAGS, this project is for you. The BAGS design office (industrial process accompanying the design, development and industrialization of Decathlon bags, covers and luggage) is looking for its future product engineer. At Decathlon, your mission is to help us accelerate on strategies within the BAGS project to better design, develop, and validate exclusive and innovative bags for our users worldwide. Leveraging your shared vision with the sports team, your collaborative work on product specifications, and your market knowledge, we expect you to contribute to the below areas.

Job Responsibility:

  • You take charge of some product developments (recolor, new simple bag or modification) to develop skills in the professional gesture of product engineer
  • Exploring, designing, developing and validating finished and semi-finished products in collaboration with sports our prototyping workshops and our suppliers
  • As the person responsible for managing your projects (planning, facilitation, etc.), you are accountable for Cost, Quality, and Time indicators for your developments
  • You contribute to the upskilling of the Design Office by capitalizing on and actively participating in our projects to improve design skills (your internship tasks will be in this direction)
  • Through your concrete actions, you actively contribute to reducing the environmental impact of your products and innovation
  • Working in conjunction with product engineers to create templates for capitalizing on the technical data of our products using our new digital tools (software clo3D)
