Bentley is looking for a Software Development Engineer to join our Bentley Infrastructure Cloud product development team and work on building our next-generation products and user experiences. The successful candidate will be a member of the software development group that delivers industry leading software to transition the lifecycle of infrastructure assets into the digital world.
Job Responsibility
Working closely with management and Product Managers, take ownership of design, implementation, testing, and support of product features, core components, and cloud services
Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering teams to design and implement significant refactoring of provisioning services
Translate technical designs into high-quality software products and services using modern development tools and practices
Maintain and enhance the existing codebase while supporting issue resolution and customer needs
Write and execute unit tests to ensure code quality and alignment with functional requirements
Follow DevOps best practices throughout the full development lifecycle
Build and maintain fully automated CI/CD pipelines
Continuously learn and apply modern technologies, frameworks, and design patterns
Adhere to secure development practices and ensure compliance with security standards
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Requirements
3+ years of experience in software development using C++, C#, or .NET
Proven experience building and maintaining backend APIs and distributed systems
Experience implementing secure service-to-service communication
Strong ability to write clean, maintainable, testable, and secure code
Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams
Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment
A self-motivated individual who can work both independently and as part of a team
Nice to have
Experience with service refactoring and modernization of legacy APIs
Experience with observability platforms and production monitoring/dashboarding
Familiarity with contract testing for APIs and consumer-driven contracts
Experience working with provisioning systems or RBAC-integrated solutions
