iPECS is looking for a Backend Software Engineer to support the development and operation of core services while collaborating with architecture and platform teams. This role focuses on implementing backend features, improving service stability, and gaining hands‑on experience across multiple domains including backend services, automation, and data processing.
Job Responsibility
Collaborate with Software Architects, Cloud Architects, and Data Architects to implement and operate core features
Support hands‑on tasks across multiple domains such as backend services, operational automation, and data processing based on team priorities
Develop, maintain, and refactor backend features for new and existing services
Actively participate in CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and log‑based operational processes
Support database operations including query tuning, backup and recovery testing, and monitoring configuration
Write unit‑level test code and participate in code reviews to maintain code quality
Create and maintain technical documentation such as API specifications, operation guides, and architecture diagrams
Improve development productivity using AI‑assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot or Amazon Q
Requirements
3–7 years of experience in backend development and operations
Solid hands‑on experience across multiple development areas
Experience collaborating across teams, with a basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and monitoring
Open mindset toward new technologies and willingness to learn new approaches, including AI‑assisted development
Experience designing RDBMS‑based schemas and writing SQL queries
Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs, including internal service communication
Understanding of collaborative development workflows and branching strategies (Git Flow, DevOps)
Basic experience analyzing incidents and debugging using logs
Nice to have
Experience operating observability or infrastructure tools such as OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Prometheus, OpenStack, or Kubernetes
Basic experience using tools such as Airflow or Power BI
Experience operating MySQL or PostgreSQL
Exposure to DevOps, data, or infrastructure domains
Flexibility working across various technical stacks (messaging, cache, NoSQL, etc.)
Experience using AI‑assisted development tools (Amazon Q, GitHub Copilot, Sonnet, etc.)
Experience developing or operating services in cloud environments
