As a Backend Engineering Intern in the Customer Engagement team, you will help build the systems that enable Zalando to acquire second-hand inventory. You will work on the logic that allows customers to sell clothes back to us and helps warehouse workers process these items for resale. This is a unique opportunity to join a diverse engineering team and shape the next chapter of Zalando’s circular fashion economy.
Job Responsibility:
Dive into our codebase to understand the architecture behind our trade-in services
Contribute to the development of new features, bug fixes, and technical debt remediation
Leverage AI-powered developer tools to boost your productivity
Learn how the team uses these tools and to actively share your own insights and workflows with the wider engineering community
Work closely with other backend, mobile, and web engineers to deliver a seamless experience for our customers
Requirements:
Proficiency in Go (Golang)
Experience with Git version control
Basic knowledge of relational (SQL) or NoSQL databases
Interest in or already using AI-powered developer assistants
Communicate openly and effectively in English
Must have the pre-existing right to work in Finland to work full-time for the duration of the program
