Job Description:

Backend Engineer – Python/Java/Go. This role has been designed as ‘’Onsite’ with an expectation that you will primarily work from an HPE office. Job Responsibility:

Develop applications on Aruba Gateways and Aruba Cloud Platform
Develop embedded code that runs on Aruba Gateways
Provide advanced highly scalable cloud based software applications that constitute the management plane and control plane for various Wireless networking functions

Requirements:

Strong Python, Java or Go programming skills
Strong background in computer science/software engineering concepts including data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, distributed computing and cloud computing paradigms
Demonstrated abilities in designing robust and scalable cloud applications using distributed cache and experience of using Redis, Hazelcast and similar products
Experience working with Product management teams
Experience developing APIs and backend modules
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and CI/CD environment
Working knowledge in one RDBMS or NoSQL database
Familiarity with at least one flavor of Linux (preferably CentOS/RHEL)
Knowledge of Cloud Platform - CoreOS, Kubernetes and Docker containers
Demonstrated abilities to work with QA and Remote Teams
Expected industry experience is 4-7 years
Minimum education at BS or MS level in Computer Science or related fields

Nice to have:

Proven abilities to prepare necessary Design Specifications, participate in Design and Code Reviews and work with Customer Support Teams for Customer Escalations
Experience with messaging systems like RabbitMQ and Kafka
Day-to-day working knowledge of contemporary source code development tools and techniques (e.g. GIT, Maven, Eclipse)
Experience in working with Agile Methodology
