Job Description:

I’m currently working with a large fintech firm with a global presence that’s embarking on a major modernisation project—rebuilding their legacy trading system from the ground up. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small, focused team delivering a modern, high-performance trading application using cutting-edge tech in a fast-paced front-office environment.

Job Responsibility:

Developing scalable backend services in Java and/or Kotlin
Building and deploying containerised apps with Kubernetes & Docker
Working with MongoDB and Databricks for data processing and analytics
Collaborating on system design and integration with relational databases
Engaging directly with stakeholders and tech leads in a fast-moving project

Requirements:

2+ years backend development in Java and/or Kotlin within financial systems
Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker & MongoDB
Hands-on with Databricks and exposure to relational DBs
Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, unit testing, and debugging
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
