Job Description:

This is a strong backend-focused engineer comfortable working on a complex SaaS-style product environment that powers workflows and supports an ecosystem of integrated partners where performance, reliability, and real-world workflow efficiency matter. Current state of platform: Azure-delivered data with desktop strength and growing web-based functionality. 250-500 million API calls a month, 40K monthly users & growing.

Job Responsibility:

  • Work on both live platform support and enhancement initiatives as well as net-new projects
  • Contribute to a scaling cloud-based SaaS-style platform
  • Participate in daily stand-ups and a Kanban-based workflow with continuous releases
  • Collaborate with product owners as needed

Requirements:

  • 5-8+ years of professional Agile software development experience supporting high performance, complicated, & high user volume cloud-based systems
  • 3+ years of hands-on Azure experience
  • Strong expertise in C# and .NET (currently on .NET 10)
  • Experience building high-performance Web APIs (REST or RPC patterns)
  • Experience with SQL/T-SQL database, SQL performance tuning, and a strong understanding of raw SQL for heavy queries or performance/critical endpoints
  • Ability to clearly communicate in a fast-paced, lean team (less than 40 across engineering) that provides autonomy and collaboration with a performance ownership mindset

Nice to have:

  • Azure DevOps (Build & Release pipelines)
  • Experience with Razor Pages
  • Familiarity with frontend/UI development (Vue.js preferred)
  • Experience in highly regulated industries (insurance, financial services, healthcare, etc...)
