Reporting directly to our CTO, the Backend Services Architect plays a pivotal role in shaping the heart of TradingView’s technology. You’ll be responsible for driving the efficiency, scalability, and security of our high-load, distributed systems—powering everything from core product features to critical infrastructure services and databases across the company.

Job Responsibility:

  • Architecture Design: Lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance backend architectures that align with our business needs
  • Technology Selection: Evaluate and recommend the most suitable backend technologies, frameworks, and tools
  • Specification Review: Analyze, refine, and approve specifications and technical requirements for service development across teams
  • System Integration: Collaborate with teams to ensure seamless integration between backend systems, frontend components, databases, third-party services, and APIs
  • Scalability, Performance & Reliability: Design systems that can handle high traffic loads while ensuring optimal performance and scalability. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks through profiling, tuning, and optimization. Guarantee high availability where required
  • Code Quality & Standards: Define and enforce coding standards, best practices, and guidelines to maintain high code quality and readability
  • Documentation: Ensure comprehensive technical documentation of internal systems, including architectural diagrams, API specifications, data storage descriptions, and deployment procedures
  • Problem Solving: Analyze complex technical challenges and propose effective solutions to resolve them in a timely manner

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in backend development (our stack includes Go, Java, and Python)
  • at least 3 years in an architect role focused on distributed, high-load systems
  • strong background in object-oriented design, multithreading, SQL/NoSQL databases, and distributed systems
  • hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, or similar platforms
  • solid knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies, including Kubernetes and Docker
  • strong engineering mindset — thoughtful judgment, analytical thinking, the ability to reason abstractly, a healthy level of bias backed by experience, openness to alternative opinions, and a collaborative attitude
  • proficiency in writing clear and structured technical documentation
