Join the ilili Midtown Opening Team! We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Back Server to join our opening team at our Midtown location. This role is essential to supporting seamless service and creating a warm, welcoming environment for our guests. As a Back Server, you will work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure tables are properly set, food is delivered promptly and accurately, and the dining room remains clean and organized. Your attentiveness and teamwork will help shape the guest experience and uphold our high standards of hospitality. The ideal candidate is proactive, reliable, and passionate about service. You take pride in the details, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and bring a positive, collaborative spirit to every shift.
Job Responsibility:
Work as part of a cohesive team to attend to guests' needs for water, bread, and other beverages and to support the Servers and Runners in their requests for additional items
Know the ingredients, preparation, and proper presentation of all menu items and specials
Remain observant and respond to each guest at all times
Provide prompt, courteous and efficient food and beverage service
Know the layout of restaurant/hotel and location of all equipment and supplies
Know all restaurants station breakdowns and table/seat numbers
Maintain cleanliness and condition of the work areas and equipment
Implement standards/procedures of service for guests consistently and impeccably as per Sequence of Service, with a focus on water and bread service, clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables
Receive and service beverages orders promptly according to standards
Assist as needed to maintain standards of appearance, sanitation and service in all areas of the restaurant
Perform all assigned sidework regularly, promptly, and correctly
Comply fully and consistently with all hotel and restaurant conditions of employment and standards of uniform, grooming, personal hygiene and safety
Understand and utilize escalation procedures for guest complaints and other potentially negative situations
Attend and report on time for all meetings and training sessions scheduled by management
Other duties as required by the Management team for the successful operation of the restaurant
Requirements:
One year of dining room experience in a high volume, upscale restaurant
Proven track record of dependability and a passion for hospitality
