But we want to get the word out even more effectively than we have done to date. Using compelling story-telling, our amazing customer case studies, new breakthrough media strategies and a creative B2B marketing approach, this role will play an integral role in making that a reality for Octopus in the B2B market.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead OEB’s marketing strategy, messaging and campaign implementation to grow awareness of Octopus within the business market, challenge brokers and other suppliers, and turbocharge our growth for SME energy supply as well as support market entries into larger business energy supply and on-site solutions
  • Work with Octopus’s central PR team to drive OEB’s story-telling and comms agenda, linking strongly to macro themes from the news cycle relevant to British business, society and the overall economy, as well as dovetailing with Octopus’s Group level campaigns and key messages
  • Take ownership of OEB’s customer case studies to bring our brand story to life, with a focus on how our products - through renewable energy, technology and flexibility - are helping our customers save money, achieve their commercial goals and support their communities
  • Work with Octopus Energy’s central marketing team to ensure we’re leveraging the amazing reach and power of our parent brand to deliver the strategic B2B growth we’re seeking to deliver

Requirements:

  • B2B marketing and communications experience and track record, ideally from a high-growth company and sector
  • Demonstrable track record of delivering cut-through brand story-telling and enabling significant sales growth for B2B brands
  • A passion for story-telling and developing compelling narrative through different media channels to build awareness and support commercial growth
  • Deep knowledge and experience of digital and social marketing channels and methods tailored to B2B
  • Track record of managing people and leading high-performing teams
