Morson Edge is recruiting for a B1.3 Licensed Aircraft Engineer to support a busy rotary-wing maintenance operation based at Oxford Airport. This is an opportunity to join one of the most established helicopter maintenance environments in the UK, supporting a diverse fleet of rotary aircraft across both civilian and military applications. The role offers a blend of hands-on maintenance, certification responsibilities, and team leadership within a professional, quality-focused organisation. With strong rates, modern facilities, and a varied aircraft portfolio, this contract is well suited to experienced B1.3 Engineers seeking a rewarding short-term opportunity. The Role As a certifying engineer, you will carry out maintenance, inspections, repairs, and certification activities across a range of rotary aircraft types, ensuring continued airworthiness and safe operation. You will also provide technical guidance to maintenance fitters and support the efficient operation of the hangar environment. Key Responsibilities Certify maintenance and repair activities on rotary aircraft Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance inspections Perform fault diagnosis, repairs, modifications, and component replacement Complete maintenance on airframe, powerplant, mechanical, and electrical systems Replace avionic line replaceable units and perform associated serviceability testing Supervise maintenance fitters and certify completed work Ensure compliance with Part 145, Part M, and applicable regulatory requirements Assist with aircraft movements and day-to-day hangar operations Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and certification records Support safe and efficient aircraft operations at all times Aircraft Types AS350 AS355 Series AS365 EC120 EC130 EC135 EC145 EC155 Requirements Essential Part 66 B1.3 Licence Thorough knowledge of rotary aircraft engine and airframe systems Experience within aircraft maintenance and certification environments Strong understanding of aviation regulations and airworthiness requirements Ability to supervise maintenance activities and work independently when required Also Considered Applications are welcomed from engineers with extensive rotary maintenance experience who are actively working towards completion of their Part 66 B1.3 Licence. Job Responsibility

  • Certify maintenance and repair activities on rotary aircraft
  • Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance inspections
  • Perform fault diagnosis, repairs, modifications, and component replacement
  • Complete maintenance on airframe, powerplant, mechanical, and electrical systems
