Job Description

Join our newly created team at Boscombe Down to deliver an exciting engineering programme that will see our Flight Test Aircraft contribute to the development of the UK’s Future Combat Air System (FCAS). Our Licensed Engineers play a crucial role in ensuring the airworthiness of our aircraft, performing maintenance tasks, and conducting inspections in compliance with regulatory standards and company procedures.

Job Responsibility

  • Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks plus modifications on 757 aircraft
  • Perform troubleshooting and fault diagnosis to identify and rectify defects
  • Carry out aircraft certification and release to service activities as a B1 and/or B2 Licensed Engineer
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel, engineers, and support staff
  • Adhere to all relevant safety protocols, procedures, and regulations
  • Flexibility to work at other 2Excel sites in line with business needs

Requirements

  • CAA Part 66 B1 and/or B2 Licence
  • Experience of large aircraft essential
  • Experience and/or type rating and recency on Boeing 757 extremely advantageous
  • Experience of working in a Part 145 MRO environment
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, avionics, and powerplants
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals and drawings
  • Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Commitment to quality outputs
  • Effective communicator, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Eligibility to hold a UK Security Clearance

Nice to have

  • Experience and/or type rating and recency on Boeing 757
  • Good mix of line, base and modification experience
