Job Description:

Join Barclays as a B-Risk Developer and play a key role in the modernisation of the Macro business platform. As part of a team developing next-generation front office solutions, you will contribute to building a robust intraday risk system that supports real-time decision-making and trading activities. This role offers the opportunity to design and deliver scalable, high-performance software while collaborating closely with traders, quants, and risk professionals to enhance risk management capabilities across the Macro business.

Job Responsibility:

  • Design, develop and improve software using various engineering methodologies
  • Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools
  • Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers
  • Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews
  • Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations
  • Adherence to secure coding practices
  • Implementation of effective unit testing practices

Requirements:

  • Strong C# development experience
  • A proven track record of solving complex technical problems
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience within the financial services industry

Nice to have:

  • Experience with intraday risk systems
  • Experience with Redis and/or Kafka
