A premier energy services and manufacturing facility in West Edmonton is looking for an experienced B-Pressure Welder to join their production team. This is a fast-paced environment that demands precision and high-volume output on pressure piping and heavy industrial components. Job Responsibility

  • Perform high-quality B-Pressure welds on carbon steel and alloy piping systems
  • Execute welds to meet strict ASME and CWB codes as required by project specifications
  • Read and interpret complex blueprints, spool drawings, and isometrics
  • Complete necessary weld mapping and documentation to ensure full traceability
  • Maintain high productivity levels to meet demanding project deadlines without compromising safety
  • Collaborate with the fit-up and QC teams to ensure seamless production flow
  • Blueprint Proficiency: Interpret complex isometric drawings and weld maps with complete accuracy

Requirements

  • Current Alberta B-Pressure Certification is mandatory
  • Proven experience welding pipe in a shop fabrication setting
  • Proficiency in SMAW and GMAW/MCAW processes
  • GTAW experience is an asset
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment weld test (typically a 6-inch schedule 80 or similar)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Must have reliable transportation and own standard welding PPE (helmet, gloves, etc.)
  • Commitment to a 'Safety First' mentality in a busy shop environment
