Job Description

Delivery Centric is seeking an experienced Azure VMware Architect to lead enterprise-grade virtualization, hybrid-cloud, and AVS-based transformation programs. This role is designed for a senior professional with deep expertise across VMware vSphere, Azure cloud platforms, and large-scale datacenter modernization. You will architect migration strategies, optimize infrastructure performance, and design end-to-end hybrid solutions that bridge on-premises environments with Azure VMware Solution (AVS). This position is ideal for someone who brings strong consulting capabilities, solution-thinking, and the ability to influence technical direction in complex cloud engagement. At Delivery Centric, you’ll operate at the intersection of cloud architecture, hybrid infrastructure, and enterprise transformation. You will lead complex AVS migration programs, define cloud operating models, and contribute to high-impact solutions that accelerate our clients’ cloud modernization journeys. You’ll join a collaborative, expert-led environment where innovation, architecture excellence, and delivery quality drive meaningful outcomes for large-scale customers.

Job Responsibility

  • Architect and guide complex migrations from on-prem VMware environments to Azure VMware Solution
  • Partner with infrastructure, application, and security teams to define technical strategy and deployment approaches
  • Lead AVS design, implementation, and performance optimisation across enterprise workloads
  • Provide architectural governance, solution documentation, and technical decision-making
  • Maintain expertise across Azure, AVS, and VMware product capabilities to propose optimal solutions
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing through architecture documents, training, and technical communities
  • Support migration planning using VMware HCX and other enterprise tooling
  • Drive pre-sales solutioning, effort estimation, and cloud migration roadmaps

Requirements

  • 10+ years in IT infrastructure, virtualisation, and cloud engineering
  • 5+ years hands-on experience with VMware vSphere (virtualisation, storage, networking, clustering)
  • 3+ years of dedicated Azure VMware Solution (AVS) experience
  • Strong knowledge across VMware technologies: vSAN, HCX, SRM, vROps, vRNI, vRLI, vCD, NSX-T
  • Expertise in Azure networking, storage, monitoring, security, compute, and automation workflows
  • Solid understanding of datacenter fabric topologies and hybrid-cloud infrastructure patterns
  • Experience designing large-scale migration strategies and delivering consulting engagements
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and solution architecture skills
