We are looking for a skilled and proactive Azure System Administrator to join our team in Pleasanton, California. In this Azure Systems Administration role, you will manage and maintain cloud infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations and supporting critical business functions. As this Azure Systems Administration role is a Contract to permanent opportunity, we are seeking a candidate who can quickly adapt to our environment and contribute effectively to ongoing and future projects. This Azure Systems Administrator Role is an onsite position out of Pleasanton, Ca.
Job Responsibility:
Manage and maintain Microsoft Azure subscriptions, virtual networks, and related cloud infrastructure
Oversee the migration of systems from on-premises to Azure, ensuring a smooth transition and optimal performance
Configure and manage Entra ID and Office 365 environments to support organizational needs
Administer and maintain firewalls, including opening ports, creating network groups, and managing devices such as Palo Alto, Aruba, and Cisco
Collaborate with helpdesk and system/network teams to provide Tier 2 support for infrastructure-related issues
Perform regular updates, backups, and restorations for systems and files to ensure data integrity
Implement security policies and procedures to safeguard IT assets and infrastructure
Evaluate and recommend hardware and software solutions, conducting thorough analyses of quotes and compatibility
Stay updated on advancements in cloud technologies and apply new insights to improve system performance
Requirements:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in system administration with a focus on Windows Server and virtualization
Proficiency in Microsoft Azure, including subscription management and virtual network configuration
Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Office 365, and related Microsoft technologies
Hands-on experience with VMware products such as ESXi and vSphere
Familiarity with firewall solutions, particularly Palo Alto and Cisco networking
Experience with enterprise storage solutions and fiber network devices
Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred
A proactive attitude with a desire to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges
