The Azure Network Engineer will support and enhance the company’s cloud‑based network infrastructure, with a strong focus on Azure networking. This role is responsible for day‑to‑day Azure network operations including VNet configuration, VNet peering, private endpoints, DNS zones, and firewall management. The engineer will help offload routine operational tasks from the current sole Azure-focused network engineer, enabling increased focus on project and architectural work across the team. This role requires strong Azure networking expertise, familiarity with traditional networking fundamentals, and hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code—primarily Terraform.
Job Responsibility:
Create and manage Azure private endpoints and private DNS zones
Configure and support VNets, VNet peering, subnets, and associated routing
Maintain and update Azure Firewall rules, policies, and configurations
Support Palo Alto firewall deployments both on-premises and in Azure
Manage Fastly CDN configurations and integrations within the Azure environment
Implement and maintain firewall access lists and policy updates
Support break-fix activities related to Azure Firewall and Palo Alto firewall issues
Perform MFT and firewall list updates as part of routine network operations
Use Terraform to deploy and maintain Azure networking resources
Contribute to automation and IaC best practices to improve efficiency and consistency
Support infrastructure versioning, change control, and continuous improvement initiatives
Handle day‑to‑day network operations and troubleshooting across Azure networking components
Assist with L3 escalations from internal teams and from the restaurant support organization when needed
Ensure reliability and performance across the company’s infrastructure backbone
