We’re looking for a Azure Infrastructure Quality Engineer who thrives at the intersection of cloud, infrastructure, and automation. In this role, you’ll validate platform changes across data centres, branch offices, and Azure environments, ensuring every deployment meets the highest standards for uptime, resilience, and performance. You’ll work closely with DevOps, Cloud, and Infrastructure teams to test, verify, and harden platforms — from IaC deployments and smoke tests to performance validation and failover assurance. This is a role for someone who believes quality is engineered, not inspected in.
Job Responsibility:
Plan and execute testing for infrastructure changes, configuration updates, and cloud deployments
Validate both functional and non-functional requirements, including performance, resilience, and availability
Collaborate with DevOps and Platform teams to: Verify Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployments
Perform post-deployment smoke testing
Identify and document reliability risks
Create and maintain automation scripts, test checks, and validation playbooks
Investigate deployment or environment defects, providing clear diagnostics and supporting remediation
Retest fixes with a focus on latency, uptime, and failover behaviour
Participate in sprint planning and reviews, raising risks and recommending testing scope for: Cloud services
Network resilience
Availability and performance improvements
Requirements:
Experience in Quality Engineering for infrastructure and platforms, not just applications
Strong understanding of cloud, networking, and infrastructure fundamentals
Experience validating platforms using monitoring and observability tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana)
Hands-on experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or Locust
Familiarity with IaC-driven environments and deployment pipelines
Experience testing enterprise technologies such as, You won’t be expected to be an expert in every technology listed: Cisco LAN, WAN, and WiFi
VMware, NetApp, Cisco UCS
Windows and Linux platforms
SolarWinds and Zerto
Awareness of NIST CSF and EU DORA requirements
Holds or is working toward Azure or AWS Architect certification (or equivalent experience)
Deep experience across multi-cloud, container platforms, and advanced networking is highly valued
