Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Azure Data Modeler to design and implement data models and architectures in Microsoft Azure environments. The candidate will collaborate with business and technical teams to ensure efficient data storage, accessibility, and analytics capabilities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Design, develop, and maintain data models in Azure (Data Lake, Synapse, SQL)
  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to gather requirements
  • Optimize data structures for performance, scalability, and analytics
  • Implement best practices for data modeling, governance, and documentation
  • Support ETL/ELT processes and ensure data integrity across systems
  • Develop metadata, naming conventions, and data dictionaries for enterprise data
  • Troubleshoot data issues and recommend solutions to optimize storage and retrieval

Requirements:

  • Strong experience with Azure Data services: Synapse, Data Lake, SQL, Databricks
  • Expertise in data modeling concepts: star schema, snowflake, normalized/denormalized models
  • Knowledge of SQL, Python, or Spark for data manipulation
  • Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and cloud data integration
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Nice to have:

  • Azure certification such as Azure Data Engineer Associate
  • Experience with Power BI or other reporting tools
  • Familiarity with enterprise data governance and compliance
