Job Description:
The Product Manager is responsible for defining and driving the strategy, development, and ongoing evolution of an internal platform treated as a product designed to support internal users and operational outcomes. This role establishes a clear product vision aligned with business objectives, operational needs, and organizational risk posture, translating complex or ambiguous problem spaces into a cohesive platform strategy that emphasizes scalability, reliability, reuse, and risk reduction. The Product Manager owns and continuously refines the product roadmap and backlog, balancing short term delivery with long term platform health, including modernization, resiliency, and scalability. Prioritization is guided by business impact, internal customer needs, operational friction, reuse potential, and risk exposure while coordinating closely with platform teams, infrastructure partners, and risk and compliance stakeholders to align timelines and dependencies. In this role, the Product Manager serves as a key connector between engineering, operations, and specialized stakeholders by translating technical capabilities and constraints into clear outcomes and priorities. The position works directly with internal customers to understand workflows, challenges, and success metrics, using those insights to guide discovery, prioritization, and product improvements. Partnering with cross functional teams including engineering, design, and analytics, the Product Manager leads delivery from discovery through launch and continuous iteration. Responsibilities include defining product requirements, documenting decisions and rationale to maintain clarity over time, and ensuring alignment throughout the development lifecycle. The role also focuses on enabling efficient and reliable delivery practices by measuring performance through outcome based metrics such as deployment frequency, lead time, recovery time, and change failure rates.
