Job Description:

The Azure API Management & Self-Hosted Gateway Administrator will manage critical integrations and ensure secure communication between cloud and on-premise systems. The role requires at least 5 years of experience in Azure API Management and related services, strong troubleshooting skills, and familiarity with API testing tools. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology is required, along with Azure certifications being highly desirable. Responsibilities include defining API interfaces, troubleshooting integration issues, managing deployments, and documenting operational procedures.

Job Responsibility:

  • Collaborate with architects and developers to define API interfaces in APIM and perform initial smoke tests using tools like Postman or SoapUI
  • Troubleshoot integration issues, including IP allow-listing, certificate trust chains, and firewall rules, using Kusto Query Language (KQL) and Azure Log Analytics
  • Manage environment deployments (DEV to QA to PROD) using Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates and Azure Pipelines for Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Create and manage ServiceNow Change Requests for CAB/TAB review before production migrations
  • Implement Azure Private Links, monitor logs, and set up alerts to ensure the reliability of the Self-Hosted Gateway
  • Document operational procedures, maintain a certificate inventory in Azure Key Vault, and author knowledge base articles for knowledge transfer

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Azure API Management (APIM), Self-Hosted Gateway and related Azure services (Application Gateway, WAF, Private Link)
  • 3+ years strong troubleshooting skills using Kusto Query Language (KQL), Azure Log Analytics and familiarity with Postman/SoapUI for API testing

  • 3+ years with API testing tools like Postman or SoapUI
  • 3+ years with IT change management processes and ServiceNow
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly desirable

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Azure Private Link and Application Gateway configurations
